PTCRC Makes a Splash to Bloom our Youth

Peachtree City Rowing Club Junior Rowers and Boathouse pups Roscoe & Gwen all smiles before a day of dragon boat racing.

On September 23, 2017, the Peachtree City Rotary Club held the annual Dragon Boat Races and International Festival. This year's proceeds will benefit the Breast Cancer Survivors' Network, Inc. This is a local, volunteer-led, non-profit organization that provides FREE one-on-one professional counseling, a mammogram progra, and much more, to breast cancer patients in need.

PTCRC teamed up with local organization Bloom for a day of racing for charity. We ended up raising over $1,500 for the organization. Bloom is a private, non-profit organization that recognizes the need for children to have a safe refuge from abuse and neglect. Their goal is to change the face of foster children. Chick-Fil-A and Jack & Ginger Middleton were kind enough to donate the money to cover the entry fees for 2 boats to race. PTCRC Junior Rowers did an outstanding job in each of their races. At the end of the day. Bloom and PTCRC came in 4th and 5th place. There was some tough competition there!

Peachtree City Rowing Club is always very excited to give back to the community wherever we can!
