Novice Competitive Team

Novice program is for new (no rowing experience) or returning rowers in Middle and High School.

Practices will focus on rowing technique, endurance and strength training. The novice program prepares rowers for the Varsity program. Peachtree City Rowing Club competes against scholastic teams and junior clubs all across the Southeast. Novice athletes will practice 5 days a week and participate in 4-5 regattas.

Novice is the best and most recommended starting place! As a physical and mental sport, rowing typically begins in middle and high school with no experience, globally. The coaches train in all aspects of rowing. Joining Novice provides a full team experience to learn and grow in the sport more quickly. Athletes receive training, team-building and the opportunity to race against other Novice programs several times a season. Several regattas also include collegiate races, so our athletes get exposure to a variety of levels.

Varsity Competitive Team

This program is for experienced High School rowers. It is our most competitive Junior program, taking our youth's rowing skills and abilities to the next level.

Peachtree City Rowing Club competes against scholastic teams and junior clubs all across the southeast, with advancing opportunities from regional competitions  to national championships.

In June 2022, our teams advanced to the US Rowing National Championship and placed 11th in the nation!

Varsity athletes will practice 6 days a week and compete in 4-5 regattas, with the opportunity to advance to championship regattas.
