Summer is an excellent opportunity to come out to Lake McIntosh Park and give rowing a try. PTCRC will be offering both beginner and advanced rowing clinics for Youth Athletes. Many of our current rowers never even rowed before they came out and participated in one of our Learn-to-Row summer clinics.

PTCRC will be offering 7 one-week camps during the summer. Attendees will have the chance to participate in beginner clinics if they are new to rowing, or advanced clinics if they have experience in rowing. Additionally, each athlete will learn about the different areas of rowing: form, technique, equipment, terminology, and safety handling equipment both on and off water.

BASIC Clinic: this intro is a fun clinic for the athlete who has never rowed, or is brand new. During this time, participants will receive an introduction to the sport of rowing. They will build on the basics of the rowing strokes as the camp progresses. This is excellent for the individual looking to dip their toes in the sport of rowing.

ADVANCED Clinic: for the athlete who has rowing experienced. Great for our current youth novice and varsity competitive athletes. During this time, participants will build on existing rowing skills. This is a great opportunity for athletes to maintain their current rowing abilities while having fun during their off season. Athletes will also gain both speed, strength, and endurance.

Summer Rowing Clinics are open co-ed youth athletes from grades 6-12. 5th graders who will be in the 6th grade next Fall are also welcome to participate.
