PTC Rowing Spring 2022 Youth Programs

Middle School/High School Recreation

Participants will practice for 2 hours three times each week. This program offers an excellent introduction to the sport for new rowers or for returning rowers wanting a fitness program and to learn more about the sport. These athletes will learn the basics of the sport in a less competitive environment with an emphasis on proper technique as well as the fundamentals of athlete nutrition and water safety, all while having fun and making a few new friends. This group will be split as needed by age and ability.

No experience necessary! This program is for new or returning rowers in High School. Practices will focus on learning rowing technique and strength training. The novice program prepares rowers for the Varsity program. Peachtree City Rowing Club competes against scholastic teams and junior clubs all across the Southeast. Novice athletes will practice 5 days a week and participate in 4-5 regattas.

This program is for experienced High School rowers. It is our most competitive Junior program, taking our youths’ skills and abilities with rowing to the next level. Peachtree City Rowing Club competes against scholastic teams and junior clubs all across the Southeast. These athletes will practice 6 days a week and compete in 4-5 regattas.
